Cops Question Two Men Last Seen With Missing Kentucky Mom Savannah Spurlock
One man’s home was also searched and a car was seized.
RICHMOND, KY — Police on the hunt for a missing Kentucky mom have interrogated two men who left a bar with her the night she vanished and executed a search warrant on the home of one of the men, where a car was towed away by authorities.
Savannah Spurlock, 22, was last seen in the early hours of January 4, exiting The Other Bar in Lexington with two men. A parking lot security camera captured their departure. The two men have not been identified so far, and no charges have been filed against them.
Spurlock had given birth to twins just four weeks earlier and has two additional children, sons aged two and four.
Investigators tracked down the two men on the tape and reportedly brought them in for questioning. On Tuesday, authorities searched a Garrad County home where one of the men lives with his parents and seized a vehicle at the scene. Police have not yet released any findings or made any other comments about the interrogations or the search.
Shaquille Smith, 27 is Spurlock's ex-boyfriend and the father of her two-year-old son and seven-week-old twins. Smith told the press he believes the men have information about what happened to her. Writing to Fox News, Smith stated: “I do think the guys she was with that night know exactly where she is. I do think she is out there somewhere worried and thinking about her kids, family, and friends.”
Ellen Spurlock, the missing woman’s mother, expressed gratitude toward the investigators who are “working very, very hard” to find Savannah. She also recounted the events of the night that led up to the disappearance. Talking to a reporter, Ellen said Savannah left home with a female friend on the night of January 3 and they drove to a male friend’s home in Lexington. From there, the women departed in another car to The Other Bar. Ellen also said Savannah’s purse and wallet were a left behind in one of the vehicles. Ellen next recounted that, at around 3 a.m., Savannah FaceTimed her from the front seat of a car driven by an African-American male to tell her she would be home in the morning. Two other people were reportedly in the back seat, but Ellen said she did not get a good look at them. The concerned mother and grandmother is holding out hope for good news, but noted, "It gets harder and harder with each day that passes. I just want to know so bad where Savannah is and that she is okay."
Savannah Spurlock is described as about five feet tall and weighs 140 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair with some blonde highlights. She has multiple tattoos, including a rose on her left shoulder. In the security footage, Savannah is seen wearing a black shirt, a maroon skirt, and heels. Anyone with any information about Savannah Spurlock is urged to call police at 859-624-4776.
