Cops: Machete-Wielding Montana Woman Forced Ex to Have Sex, Peed on His Bed
Cascade County Jail
Samantha Mears
GREAT FALLS, MT — A Montana teen has been arrested for breaking into her ex-boyfriend’s home with a machete, forcing him to strip and have sex with her, and then urinating on the man’s bed.
Samantha Mears, 19, is accused of illegally entering the residence of her former romantic partner while he was out and waiting for him to return — with a machete in hand.
Once the man got back, Mears allegedly jumped him from behind and ordered him to take off his clothes and get on his bed. From there, police say, Mears mounted the man, held the machete to his throat, and demanded he have sex with her.
According to the arrest report, the victim said he became “aroused by seeing [Mears] without any undergarments on” and that she bit his arm repeatedly throughout the intercourse, even after the man allegedly tried to push her away.
The man reportedly said he complied because he feared what Mears might do to him with the machete.
After sex, Mears allegedly eased back naked in bed and cradled the machete. The victim snapped several photos of her in that state and later turned them over to the police.
The man told cops that he and Mears then got into an argument, which prompted her to yank a piece of trim off the wall and urinate all over his bed.
The victim said he grabbed his phone and told Mears he was calling a friend, but instead he dialed 911.
When responders arrived, Mears reportedly claimed her ex had kidnapped her and that he’d given her the machete to protect herself. Officers noted that Mears appeared to be suffering from a mental-health crisis.
The arrest came just two days after police had picked up Mears for allegedly assaulting and choking the same ex-boyfriend. She was released on her own recognizance at that time.
In that case, police noted the victim “was hesitant about physically protecting himself, as he thought he would get into legal trouble if he did.”
Prior to their breakup, police said, Mears and the male victim had been together for about seven years, beginning when she was 12.
Samantha Mears has been charged with felony counts of aggravated burglary and assault with a weapon. She also faces misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief, assault, and unlawful restraint.
Mears is being held at the Cascade County jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.
