ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Authorities say an intoxicated Florida resident decided she wanted her food to go and grabbed a live crustacean from a tank at Red Lobster and hit the ground running.

According to an arrest affidavit, Kimberly Gabel, 42, had too much to drink and began “causing a scene” at the chain restaurant early in the afternoon on November 10.

The manager asked her to leave the premises because she was disturbing other diners.

Gabel “began cursing and walked towards the front door,” noted the arresting officer, who added the woman then “proceeded to reach into a water tank containing live lobster, grabbed a lobster, and ran out of the restaurant.”

When cops caught up with Gabel a short time later, she was slurring her words and insisted she did “not know what she did with the lobster because she [was] ‘blacked-out drunk’” and “did not care because she did not do anything wrong.”

Gabel, who the Smoking Gun reported sports a Koi fish tattoo on her back, was booked on a misdemeanor charge of disorderly intoxication and released on $100 bond.
