The desperate search continues in Ohio for missing 3-year-old Nylo Lattimore. According to Cincinnati Police Lt. Steve Saunders, the last time Nylo was seen by anyone was on December 4, 2020 around noon.
On December 12, 2020, detectives say Nylo's mother, 29-year-old Nyteisha "Tisha" Lattimore's body was found by the Purple People Bridge on the Ohio River. Reports say the discovery was made around 3:15 a.m. on Pete Rose Way and she was allegedly stabbed multiple times with an unknown weapon.
After the discovery police say their investigation led to the arrest of Lattimore's boyfriend, 20-year-old Desean Brown. He is currently in custody and charged with Lattimore's murder.
On a GoFundMe page to raise money for Lattimore's funeral expenses and pleading for information to help aid in the search to find Nylo, family member Rodick Lattimore says, "Tisha was an amazing and caring woman with big dreams! She meant the world to our family and friends--Always smiling and laughing. She could light up an entire room!"
In a pre-taped video message on Dec. 15, Lt. Saunders also confirmed a stroller belonging to Lattimore was also found along the Ohio River where her body was found. “Growing concern has risen through our investigation through our interviewing of Desean Brown, who has been charged with the death of Nyteisha Lattimore, growing concern to the point where we feel this event with Nylo may involve foul play,” Saunders added.
Reports say Brown's bond is set at $1 million and he has pleaded not guilty. A motive has not been revealed.
According to family members, Lattimore did not go anywhere without her son. "She was taken away from us too early. She was a strong independent woman and didn't deserve what happened to her. Tisha was an amazing mother, sister, and friend. She touched every life of everyone she met," the fundraising message adds.
Nylo has black hair, brown eyes and no known scars or marks. If you know anything about this case, please contact Crimestoppers directly at 513-352-3040 or the Criminal Investigations Section at 513-352-3542.
