The Hoke County Sheriff's Department says they were called to a home in Raeford, NC for a reported juvenile sexual assault on August 7 kicking off an intense investigation.
During the investigation, authorities were able to identify the suspect as 30-year-old Joshuah Taylor Bradshaw, but reports say he was nowhere to be found and fled the state of North Carolina. Bradshaw was eventually tracked down by the FBI in Etta, Mississippi and arrested.
The Hoke County Sheriff's Office says Bradshaw is facing 332 charges related to more than 130 underage male and female victims and 156 warrants were obtained.
Some of the inital charges Bradshaw is facing include 12 counts of statutory sexual offense with a child by an adult, 12 counts of taking indecent liberties with children, 12 counts of first degree sexual exploitation of a minor, 144 counts of second degree sexual exploitation of a minor and 144 counts of third degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
According to USA Today, Sheriff Hubert Peterkin said the alleged abuse began in February 2020, “My message to parents, pay close attention to what your children are doing at all times. Watch how much access they give their children to people whether in person or online."
Reports say Bradshaw was extradited back to North Carolina and made his first court appearance on September 21, 2020. He's currently being held on a $20 million bond.
Investigators say at this point, additional charges are pending.
