The mystery surrounding a Gary, Indiana missing aunt and her nephew continues over seven years later.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children released an age-progressed photo of Diamond Bynum and her nephew King Walker. In 2022, King would be nine years old and Bynum would be 28.
On July 25, 2015, the pair vanished without a trace. King was only a toddler, and Bynum was a 21-year-old adult, but had "childlike" qualities. According to published reports, Bynum has a "diminished" mental capacity. Reports said the pair disappeared from a family’s home.
King's grandmother, LaShann Walker, spoke out to ABC Chicago about all of the years that have passed by without answers. "If somebody sees that person around somewhere, they could still be able to tell that that's him or not," LaShann added.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children said King is a black male with black hair. He was born on May 11, 2013 and is from Gary, Indiana. When the young child vanished, his hair was in dreadlocks.
Bynum is a black female with black hair. She was born on February 18, 1994. Bynum is on the shorter side and only stands 4 feet 8 inches tall. When she went missing, Bynum weighed around 240 pounds.
ABC Chicago said, according to authorities, recent leads brought investigators down the East Coast and into Florida. LaShann is begging anyone with information to please consider coming forward, "I'm asking if anyone knows anything, please say something. Somebody knows something. It's hard to continue living life every day not knowing whether they are being hurt or something."
