Ex-Boyfriend Of Missing Nebraska Mother Arrested In Central America
Cari Allen, 43, was reported missing on Nov. 20, 2022. Over two weeks later, on Dec. 6, 2022, her ex-boyfriend, 47-year-old Aldrick Scott, was apprehended in Belize and arrested in connection with her disappearance.

Devoted mom Cari Allen, 43, was last seen on the night of Nov. 19 near her home in Omaha, Nebraska, according to PEOPLE. Her ex-boyfriend has since been arrested in connection with her disappearance.
The Topeka Police Department executed a search warrant at 47-year-old Aldrick Scott’s home in Topeka, Kansas. Neither Scott nor Allen was found in the home, but police did remove a lot of evidence until around 6:30 the next morning.
According to KMTV, an arrest warrant was issued for Scott and the Douglas County Sheriff's Office enlisted the Metro Fugitive Task Force and the United States Marshal Service in the pursuit of Scott. He was apprehended by authorities in Belize on Dec. 6, 2022 and is being charged with felony kidnapping and accessory to a felony.
According to KETV, scanner audio from the night of Allen’s disappearances reveals that someone called 911 to report that Scott killed his girlfriend.
Chief Deputy Wayne Hudson of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office stated, "If it's a missing adult without any type of contact, that the individual hasn't contacted anyone, from our agency standpoint, we're going to pull out all the stops to find out why that individual is missing.”
Taji Assadi Loehr, a long-time friend of Allen, created a GoFundMe for her missing friend. On the page, Loehr stated, “Her family is devastated and doing everything in the realm of possibilities to locate her. Unfortunately, there are far more questions than answers at this time.”
Loehr described Allen as a humble spitfire and the “ultimate hype girl” since she was always “lending a thoughtful ear or a wise word” to friends. It was also made clear that Allen’s son was her whole world.
