Florida Father Charged With Double Homicide Of Girlfriend, Toddler Found Dead In Alligator's Mouth
Thomas Mosley, 21, allegedly stabbed his girlfriend to death before throwing their 2-year-old son into a lake, where his body was later found inside an alligator’s mouth.

Thomas Mosley, a 21-year-old Florida man, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of his girlfriend and their 2-year-old son, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.
After an all-day search on March 31, 2023, 2-year-old Taylen Mosley was found dead in an alligator’s mouth in Lake Maggiore. An Amber Alert had been issued for the toddler, who had been considered missing since authorities found his mother, 20-year-old Pashun Jeffery, dead in a violent crime scene in their apartment in St. Petersburg, Florida.
After a family member asked the building manager to check on the mother and son, the building manager discovered Jeffery’s body. She had been stabbed to death with over 100 stab wounds on her body.
When searching the apartment, police found a bloody fingerprint, which allegedly belonged to Mosley, on a cleaning bottle that had been concealed under a bed in Jeffery’s apartment. There was also a bloody shoe print that had an impression of the Gucci emblem.
On the day of Pashun Jeffery’s murder, she had hosted a birthday party for her boyfriend and alleged killer Thomas Mosley. According to 10 Tampa Bay. Jeffery's family left the home around 5:15 p.m., then the only people left in the home were Mosley, Jeffery, and their son.
ABC News reported that Thomas Mosley went to his mother’s house on the night of Jeffery’s murder at approximately 9:03 p.m. He arrived with severe lacerations on his arms and hands which Mosley’s arrest warrant claimed were made by “slippage during a knife attack”. He later admitted himself to St. Anthony's Hospital to get treatment for his wounds.
After Thomas Mosley’s arrest, he was taken to the Pinellas County Jail, where the St. Petersburg Police Department stated he remains awaiting trial.
Mosley's defense attorney Margaret Russell told PEOPLE, "Due to the extremely serious allegations surrounding these tragic losses, our investigation is currently focused on gathering information about the facts and circumstances of the case, as well as our client's mental state.”
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help with the funeral costs for Pashun Jeffery and Taylen Mosley.
"Taylen was a sweet and happy toddler and loved his mom. To see them together and their love for each other was a blessing. We will remember their love and will keep them in our hearts," the family stated on the page.
