Tamla, 40, and a mother of five, attended a "Football Moms" adults-only sleepover with seven white women and three men in November 2018. She suffered a fatal fall at some point during the night. The following morning, the homeowner's boyfriend claimed he found Tamla face down and unresponsive in a call to 911. The homeowner suggested "maybe she fell off the balcony" while on the phone with first responders. Her death has been ruled accidental, but what really happened that night?
